Every Tuesday i look forward for Johnnys Tuesday Tips ,
here is my top 5 tips you should know from Johnny ( he has a lot so if you enjoy them check them all out Click here) .
They vary from Business to life lessons.
I’ve been living out of my luggage for a good portion of my adult life. Even as a young teenager I would spend 10 months out of the year on the road touring with my band. Yeah, it does get lonely every so often. However, the new experiences and friends overcome all of that. Did I mention the food? If you haven’t traveled much, put normal life on pause and go on a small adventure. Even if it’s driving one state over. Traveling is inspirational and puts life in perspective. – Johnny Cupcakes
I love traveling , My family and i usually think about our next trip during summer time for our annual Xmas vacation , which we been from Europe to going back home (Venezuela) we try to visit a new place each year , to me the adventures , experiences and memories you get from each trip are priceless. so Booked a flight and get on with your next adventure!
“He might be the king of hearts, but look how emotionally drained he is. Between the expression on his face & the sword going through his head. Looking at this card reminded me of how many people are in, or stay in relationships for the wrong reason. Don’t settle for less just because you’re afraid of not finding another person. If you’re not fully happy, feeling incomplete, still having to check-in a bazillion times a day because of trust issues, get in the occasional argument over old baggage, etc.– then do something about it.
Some people get so caught up in a relationship that they half ass their life. Some people get so caught up in life that they half ass their relationship. In my opinion, the smartest thing to do is to make sure you build a strong foundation for your life before taking on the responsibility of another humans emotions. It’s not fair for your lover and it’s not fair for you. You don’t want to half ass both and become emotionally drained like the king of hearts.” – Johnny Cupcakes
Totally agree with Johnny , if you can’t support your self . what makes you think you can support or taken on another humans emotions, problems, bills, ect. so dont be like the King of Hearts.
3rd: Arms & Legs
“While starting a business, don’t get bummed out when going broke. Remember, You have to spend an arm & a leg to make more arms & legs. It’s natural for any human to want instant gratification. Many people give up after realizing how much money and time really goes into it. Building a strong foundation for your business is important. Your business is a personal investment & if you’re in it for the right reasons, and for the long run, then you’ll begin to understand & cope with the fact that it comes with the territory. Now get out that saw!” – Johnny Cupcakes
4th: Protect Your Trademark
“Protecting your brand / trademark is important. If you’re going to make the time & money investment into starting a company, the last thing you want is for someone to come along and steal your ideas. Do some poking around on the internet or simply call a few trademark attorney’s for some free advice. Yes, it’s an investment. However, it’s a safe investment you’re going to have to make if you plan on growing. For years now, we’ve been working with a great trademark attorney who has assisted in many cases, both national and international.
Aside from many other positives– I think one of perks of me not selling my brand wholesale to any stores whatsoever, is that anytime there is a knock-off or something fishy spotted, my loyal customers around the world will let me know immediately. Some say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I say that it’s the sincerest form of getting punched in the face. Or the sincerest form of asking for a field trip to court. Every day is a battle. Seriously, every day. Today we won a big one. Bangkok, Thailand. I was informed by quite a few Johnny Cupcakes customers that this store was carrying hundreds of fake Johnny Cupcakes t-shirts. We even got this person kicked off of eBay for selling fakes. They’ve been selling fake Johnny Cupcakes shirts for the past few years. They even wholesale them to other stores in other countries! Well well… their store was just raided by police, over 400 t-shirts were confiscated, and the owner was arrested. He’ll be going to court shortly.” – Johnny Cupcakes
Boy do I feel like I’m in an episode of Law And Order. ::::insert JUN JUN JUN sound effect::::
I didn’t think cupcakes even existed in asia?
Investigators + police officers confiscating all of the bootlegged, fake Johnny Cupcakes t-shirts for evidence.
Another one down & a few more to go. It is important for me to protect my brand. I support my friends & family with Johnny Cupcakes. Not to mention all of the charities we donate items too, and the time and money we put into this JC community we’ve built for our customers, showing them that there are alternative ways to have fun. When you spend 9 years building something with all of your hard work, emotion, risks & time, and someone attempts to eff it up in a major unethical way – you can’t help but to want to throw a president Nixon mask on and do some justice. Anyways, Karma is a female puppy.
Every case is different. Most have bad intentions, but some are just clueless mistakes. Sometimes it’s a companies fault, sometimes it’s the person that they hired to submit some designs. The way we deal with each case is often different from another. From a phone call or an e-mail to the person, as communication is very important, and as I mentioned before, it could be a mere mistake. Then depending on how severe and ill mannered some of these situations are, it could be a cease & desist letter, a DMCA takedown notice — to a police investigation, police raid, lawsuit, or a good old fashioned fist fight. There’s been many where all I’ve asked for is a simple apology.
All in all, protecting your trademark is important. Some people think you make all this money going after people. You really don’t. The rare times you win money, it goes right into all of the lawyer / attorney fees. But you feel good inside, knowing that you just took down a bad guy. It’s also nice to know that tens of thousands of Johnny Cupcakers around the world have my back. Torches, battle-axes & flaming cupcakes — they’re ready for war. – Johnny Cupcakes
5th: Giving Back
“Growing up, I’ve lived down the street from this summer camp. I’ve alway ridden by on my Huffy White Heat mountain bike, but could never see over the tall, green hedges. I was also too young to even know much about this camp.
The Friends of Sunset Point Camp is a volunteer group formed to promote greater awareness and support of Sunset Point Camp in Hull, Massachusetts. This summer camp program, run by Catholic Charities, serves at-risk, low income children from the Greater Boston area, without regard for their race, nationality, or religious affiliation. It allows a lot of children to see the seaside rather than the hot cement streets in the summer. The programs at Sunset Point Camp are designed around building life skills, including teamwork, leadership, self-discipline, self-esteem, sportsmanship, and good health. Each summer, children enjoy swimming, games, crafts, food, fun, and friendship in a safe and comfortable environment. To date, more than 40,000 children have attended the camp.” – Johnny Cupcakes
This camp has been been open for 90 years, but last year was the first summer where it was closed due to lack of funds. With the help of our local community, hard work, caring people and many donations – Sunset Point Camp was able to open back up this summer. In addition to teaming up with the community and contributing funds to help this camp open up — we donated a few hundred Johnny Cupcakes backpacks and a few hundred Johnny Cupcakes beach towels. It feels good to give. But the most rewarding part of it all, is giving our time.
We don’t usually talk about it as much as we should, but in the past we’ve helped out hundreds of charities. From Breast Cancer to Haiti & Katrina donations, from Habitat For Humanity to local youth sports programs, from Alzheimer’s & Muscular Dystrophy research to Aids Awareness. If you have a good cause and would like to reach out to us, you can send us a letter to our headquarters in Weymouth, Massachusetts. If we’re able to, we’d love to help out! And if you can in life, give back. Donate a little bit of your time towards a charity and some community service. There’s not a more positive, rewarding feeling like it. – Johnny Cupcakes
All this tips have tough me something from a simple as trademark to how important is to give up to the community ,
